Masonic Lodge Information

I grew up going to the lodge with my father at almost every meeting.  My mother is a Eastern Star, both of my Grand Father's where masons as is my Uncle.  I always had good times as a child at the lodge.  After having my daughter I asked my father how to join and what it was about.  I then  began my journey in masonry in 2006.  After I was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason I went directly into a Officer's Chair.  I currently am in the Junior Decon's chair, have done the EA Lecture, all the charges and all the working tools.  Through this organization I have learned many characters which I firmly stand by and support.  I am a member of Lafayette Lodge # 27 of Free and accepted Masons located in Rahway, New Jersey.  Lafayette Lodge has been around for more than 150 years and is one of the Largest Lodges in New Jersey.  Masonry makes good men better.  Requirements for joining are that you are a man, at east 21 years of age, a charitable person, and after an investigation that you are elected to membership.

Grand Master's Message

It is with extreme humility that I assume the office of Grand Master of Masons of the State of New Jersey. The duties and responsibilities this office brings makes new and innovative responses necessary to be effective. I look forward to the opportunity to serve our brethren and the community on the whole.

Those responsibilities are multi-faceted. Our involvement in providing charity to those in need runs into the dozens of millions of dollars a year. In the face of the current economic climate, this is an ever increasing challenge, a challenge that will be met with the aid and assistance of all Masons.

The financial and membership structures of the Blue Lodges must be looked at anew. We must provide safe, attractive meeting places for our current membership and those who desire to join our Fraternity.

We will continue reaching out to the communities in which we live and work to illustrate that Freemasonry is an active and vibrant component in all of our lives.

As we concentrate on the issues that confront us today, let us not forget the proud heritage which our Fraternity offers. For hundreds of years, Freemasonry has been an encourager of free thought and self-determination. The Blue Lodge is the great leveler of all men, where they can sit side by side without regard for titles, office, or wealth.

Being the 149th Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of New Jersey is an awesome responsibility. Those who have preceded me were men of great vision and skill. They were the men who shaped our Grand Jurisdiction into one of the premier fraternal organizations anywhere. Every action we take today creates the foundation for the success of Freemasonry tomorrow. I can only hope that, with the aid of the Great Architect of the Universe, I can somehow live up to the standards that were established long before I was born.
